5 Steps To Discern God's Plan For Your Business
We can all connect with God in many unique ways. But what if there were a strategy that we could use consistently to seek God for divine insight into our business? If this is you, here are five steps you can use to find God’s plan:
Seek God First (Matthew 6:33)
We do this by going to Him in prayer and, at times, fasting for clarity and direction. Fasting can provide us with a spiritual advantage over the very obstacles that may be standing in the way of our breakthrough. It helps us align our hearts with God’s will and strengthens our faith to overcome challenges.
Write It Down (Habakkuk 2:2)
When we take what God reveals to us through our thoughts or the mind’s eye and transfer it onto paper—whether digital or physical—we create a space for clarity and action. We allow God’s vision to take form and prepare us to manifest in the natural.
Map Out A Plan Of Action (Proverbs 2:5)
Making a plan of action is essential for fulfilling God’s purpose in our lives and businesses. As Proverbs 2:5 reminds us, if we seek wisdom and understanding diligently, we will find the knowledge of God. It’s only when we intentionally plan, guided by prayer and insight from the Holy Spirit, that we will align our steps with His divine wisdom, ensuring that every move we make in the marketplace and business is purposeful and fruitful.
Identify Your Top 3 (Proverbs 16:3)
When you prioritise the things God has clearly called you to focus on in your business, He will give you a clear and detailed plan that He wants you to take immediate action on (pay attention to spiritual cues). This guidance may come in the form of your top 3 tasks for the day or the week ahead. However God chooses to lead you, trust that His plan is perfect and will direct you step by step to the progress He desires for you to make.
Take Action (James 1:22/25)
Without application, there can be no true spiritual transfer or growth—1 Corinthians 3:6. This process is important because it requires us to move beyond merely being listeners of the Word and instead become active doers who put faith into practice.
